I Was Running!

No barbells, pullups or squats today.  Just run.  Fast!  There are many movements that we incorporate into CrossFit wods.  Everyone has one or two that they absolutely hate to see pop up.  Myself included.  Running seems to be one of those that draws the most disdain from CrossFitters.  Maybe because it doesn’t have the appeal of the Olympic lifts or the excitement of gymnastics.  It seems to me that running should be something that we are all good at.  We have been running for as long as our feet could keep us upright.  At one point in our lives we all ran correctly then highly cushioned shoes, body weight and injuries turned us to the dark side.  Running is a skill just like everything else we practice at CrossFit.  The only way to get better is to run.  More importantly, to run correctly.  Many of you came to the running seminar we had in the spring.  We will try to line another one up soon so that we can start down the path to healthier, happier running.  Until then, don’t skip the running wods.  Show up and learn from your coaches and those that are better runners.
