About a month ago we did some 3 position clean work.  We had a bunch of athletes comment on how working the 3 positions really helped them with their clean.  Today we will be doing the same thing with the snatch.  First snatch the bar from the floor, come back to the hang and take the bar to just above the knee, snatch.  You will then come back to the hang and snatch from the high hang position.  Start out light and work on speed.  Once you are comfortable gradually add some weight, still focusing on speed and proper positioning.  Continue to build up to as heavy as possible with good technique.  After that we have some more snatch work.  Squat snatch for 15 reps and run 200 meters as fast as you can.  This will be a fun little sprint wod!

Workout of the Day (WOD) 10/11/13:

3 Position Snatch- 20 Minutes to build up to as heavy as possible.

Then,

For Time:

  • 15 Squat Snatches(RX, T2-65% 1rm, T3-50%)
  • 200 Meter Run
