This Saturday the battle is on!

Teams of 2 complete:

Event 1: “Hill Valley”

For time:

  • Teammates will complete an obstacle course.  Both members will work together throughout the course and must finish at the same time.

Event 2:  “Biff”

  • 12 minutes to achieve a 1 rep max squat clean and jerk

*Each athlete will have 6 minutes to put up a 1 rep max.  The clean must be a squat clean and the jerk and will finish locked out, under control, overhead.  During the 6 minute period the other teammate can help to load and unload weights for the lifter but cannot perform their lifts.  Only one bar will be used for this event.  The score will be combined weight from both successful lifts.

Event 3: “DeLorian”

For time or 7 minute AMRAP:

60-50-40

  • Thrusters(weights will be announced prior to the wod)
  • At the completion of each round, 3 partner burpees will be performed by each athlete.

*The reps can be split up however the team chooses.  Each athlete will have their own bar.  One member will be performing thrusters while the other member is holding their bar in the front rack position.  If the front rack is dropped the other athlete must stop performing reps until one of the bars is picked back up and placed in the rack position.  If the team has not finished at the 7 minute mark the total reps will be recorded as the score.

Final Event: “1.21 Gigawatts”

The top 3 men’s and women’s teams will compete in this final event to determine the winners of the battle.  TBA
