Functional Assessment and WOD
This evening(Thursday) from 5-7 we will have Jay de Leon on site from The Duke Orthopedic Performance Center. Jay is a fellow CrossFitter and good friend of ours. He will be performing free functional movement assessments for CFBC athletes. The assessment doesn’t take long and is a great way to help each athlete see where they might be susceptible to injury. It also points out specific areas that are lacking in mobility which will help you to target them. We would like as many athletes as possible to go through the assessment. This will help us plan future programming and specific mobility work. Just another way that we can work to improve our athletes overall fitness and well being. Jay was here in the morning on Tuesday and everyone that went through the assessment came out with a lot of good feedback.
Today’s wod promises to be a good burner! Hopefully you have mastered or gotten better at your double unders. Plug away at them and stay steady on the wall balls and box jumps.
