Mobilize!  Become a supple leopard…

As we get further into our week of wods, make sure to actively work to stay loose and mobilized.  This may mean doing a little extra mobility at home or arriving to the gym early.  We always have a thorough warm up each class, but many of you need more than that because of old injuries, TMB(to0 many birthdays) or just a rough week of wods.  If you are finding that you are still tight after the group warm-up you should seriously consider getting to class early to get some extra mobility work in.  I know that everyone’s days are busy and schedules are tight.  It doesn’t  take a whole lot of time.  Dedicate an extra 5 minutes before each class and you will see improvements.  If you need some ideas on how to target certain areas.  Check this out:  mobilitywod.com

After the push press today we will spend some time working on handstand push-ups, GHD movements and rope ascents.  This will not be for time and we want you to focus on improving your skills for each movement.

Workout of the Day (WOD) 11/6/13:

Push Press 5-5-5-5-5 @80% 1 RM

Then,

3 Rounds not for time:

  • Max rep Hand Stand Push-ups
  • 15 Back Extension, Hip Extension, GHD Sit-up (Switch each round)
  • 3 Rope Ascents(20′)
