Efficiency is Speed

We have talked a lot of about skills lately and how practicing them makes you more efficient.  Why do we need efficiency?  Being efficient moving your body or a load transfers over to you moving yourself or that load quickly.  One of CrossFit’s fitness goals is to be able to move a large load a long distance quickly.  This is your fitness improving.  Take the time today to become more efficient.  Specifically at jerks, ghd’s, pushups and pistols.  We will be showing you guys many different progressions to learn and improve all of these movements.

Workout of the Day(WOD) 7/17/13:

Push/Split Jerk 5-5-5-5-5 @85% 1 rep max

20 reps @50% 1 rep max

Then,

Not for time, 3 rounds:

  • 10 GHD Back Extensions
  • Max rep push-ups
  • 5 per side pistols
