Snatch PR’s Coming

***This Sunday”s Open Gym will be from 11:30-1:30.***

CrossFit Brier Creek will be running a free workout at lululemon athletica in Durham and Streets of South Point mall this Sunday.  This is free to anyone so bring your friends! We will get going at 9:15.  Let us know if you are coming or if you have any questions.

Today we will be working on the Olympic lift the snatch.  New athletes will be focusing solely on form and technique.  Learn the movement first and then we will add weight.  The snatch is a technical lift and needs to be done correctly from the beginning so as not to develop bad habits.  More experienced athletes will also be focusing on form and technique, but will be working up in weight to find a new 1 rep max for the snatch.

Take 5 minutes of your life and watch this video with Coach Burgener explaining the Burgener warm-up that we have done many times and you will be doing today.

Snatch

  • Build up to a new 1 rep max

Then,

In 5 minutes complete:

  • 500 Meter Row
  • Max Rep Double Unders
