Its all about the Power Clean

The end of another week is here!  Next week week we will be changing it up a bit.  Get ready for a week of benchmarks.  Weightlifting totals, girls and maybe a fight.  Make sure to get here to take on all of those benchmarks and set some records.  Today we are power cleaning.  Just like last weeks snatches, the focus is on keeping the weight light, speed and solid technique.  If you don’t have a 1 rep max power clean don’t worry we will help you to choose the right weight.  Don’t miss out on all of the fun!

Workout of the Day (WOD) 8/23/13:

Power Clean

  • 50% 1 rm x3
  • 60% x 2
  • 70% x 2

Then,

“Death by Power Clean”

  • Starting at 5 power cleans the first minute (135,95).  Perform one additional rep every minute on the minute until you can’t complete the required reps.

*Post power clean weights and reps in “Death By” to comments.
