New Toys!

***We have changed the Saturday schedule.  9 and 10 am regular wods.  11-12 Free Community wod and open gym time for CFBC members.***

If you haven’t noticed, we just got in some new equipment.  Yes, Christmas in June!  Some of it is already in place.  We have added more kettlebells, med balls, slam balls and plates.  Our lifting platforms have two additional squat racks and benches.  Over the matted area we will be putting up two more climbing ropes and 2 more sets of rings.  We also will be adding 6 more feet to the pull-up rig.  Please help us keep all this new stuff in good condition.  Especially the 10lb bumpers.  Refrain from dropping them and use the training bars with 25’s as much as possible.  Thanks for helping us grow and for all that you guys do to make the CFBC community awesome!

Today we will be working on the Olympic lift the snatch.  If you are new to us please take your time and focus on correctly learning the positions and pulls.  We will be helping you through all of this.  Many of you are experienced with this lift so go for a new PR but don’t forget to also stay focused on doing everything right.

Snatch

  • Work up to a 1 rep max
  • Or if you are just learning, spend time working the positions and doing drills (coaches will help you decide).

Then,

Every minute on the minute for 5 minutes:

  • Snatch 2 reps @80% of today’s 1 rm.
