Never Forget!

911

As you go through your day and workout, take some time to remember that awful day in 2001 that changed all of our lives.  Take some time to honor the brave souls that where lost and the families that will never be the same.  Remember those that survived and the countless other public safety workers and military that are also willing to rush into a situation that everyone else is running away from.  Never forget!

“This massive attack was intended to break our spirit. It has not done that. It’s made us stronger, more determined, and more resolved. The bravery of our firefighters, our police officers, our emergency workers, and civilians we may never learn of, in saving over 25,000 lives that day, and carrying out the most effective rescue operation in our history, inspires all of us.” –Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City

Our bench press today will be just like the squats on Monday.  Take time to work up to 80% of your 1 rep max and then perform 5 sets of 5 reps.  If you cannot complete 5 reps drop down 5%.  After we bench take the remainder of your time to work with your coach on a skill or multiple skills that you want to master.  This is a great time to get extra help on those “goats” that seem to always get us in wods.
