“Cindy”cindy benchmark

20 Minute AMRAP:

  • 5 Pullups
  • 10 Pushups
  • 15 Squats

Today we take on Cindy.  Cindy is one of the original CrossFit benchmark workouts.  It is a benchmark because it never changes and is a way to gauge your fitness when repeated.  Our goal in CrossFit training is that we always strive to increase work capacity across broad times and modal domains.  Simply stated, using Cindy as a reference, if you perform more reps/rounds today than when you last did it, your work capacity(fitness) has improved.  This is also why it is important to record each workout so that we can track this improvement or see holes in your training if you aren’t improving.  If you haven’t done Cindy before, today you will set the baseline.  We will repeat this over the year and you will be able to see all of your hard work paying off.
