3 Position Snatch

  • Snatch from the high hang, above the knee and from the floor.
  • Build up in weight or work on form.
  • When the high hang starts to fail, move to a two position(above the knee, floor).
  • When you fail from above the knee, move to only snatching from the floor.

Then,

  • Continue mastering your push-ups, dips and handstand push-ups.

For the next month or two, Wednesday will be an Olympic lifting day.  This is a great opportunity to work on perfecting the lifts.  You don’t have to throw max weight around every session.  In fact, I don’t want you to.  Start light and only go up if your form is damn near perfect.  Taking the time now to master these lifts will pay off later on.  The weight will come.  I promise.  Also, if you are feeling beat up from the weeks wods and don’t want to lift, you can still come in and mobilize or work on skills that won’t compromise your workouts or body.  See you there!
