Check Your Leaderboard
The CrossFit Games are a global competition that anyone can participate in. This year over 100,000 people registered for the Open. Of those 100,000 only 1 man and 1 woman will be crowned the fittest on earth. We have to remember though, that those top Games athletes are somewhere around the 1% of the several hundred thousand crossfitters globally. Every day we see seemingly average people do extraordinary things. These are the ones that inspire. The Crossfit Games have brought back the ability to compete for many athletes, which is good. Throughout the Open and CrossFit Games season we must not forget the reason that we train and compete. We train to make ourselves better and we compete to prove to ourselves that we have become better. Improvement in our fitness is the ultimate goal. So if you are checking the Games leaderboard and getting depressed, don’t forget to check yourself and your own leaderboard for improvement. I am sure that you will find improvements there!
