Hang Squat Snatch:

Everything we are working on today leads up to being able to improve our Olympic snatching. You have to have a solid overhead squat as a base to being able to receive the bar low. The snatch balance teaches us how to quickly drive under the bar and then receive. Snatching from the hang position forces us to pull hard on the bar and then continue pulling hard to get under it. Think of today as a snatch pyramid with overhead squat at the base and full snatch at the top.
