First Week of November

Overhead Squat 5-5-5-5-5.  Build up to a heavy set of 5 reps.

Then,

4 Rounds for time:magic

  • 10 Power Snatches (95,65)(75,55)(65,45)(55,35)
  • 15 Kettlebell Swings (53,35)(44,26)(26,18)(18,13)
  • 20 Walking Lunges

We start off today building up to a heavy 5 rep overhead squat.  Reach up hard to lock that bar in place and slowly lower making adjustments as you go.  Heavy overhead squats are a great way to build confidence receiving a snatch.  In the upcoming weeks we will be working on hitting some lifts that we haven’t seen for a while.  Also, we will be making Thursday more of a skill/recovery day.  This gives you the opportunity to follow the classic 3 days on 1 day off path to the week.
