What is Your Olympic Total?

***Labor Day Weekend schedule:  Regular hours on Saturday.  Monday-Open Gym from 9-11.  Have a safe and relaxing weekend!***

It has been awesome watching everyone setting and breaking benchmarks this week!  We will be finishing up the week with some Olympic lifting.  This will be very similar to the CrossFit Total that we did on Monday.  You will have time to warm-up for each lift and then take 3 attempts for a 1 rep max.  We will kick it off with the snatch and then finish with the clean and jerk.  As many of you found out on Monday, there is some strategy to this.

  1. Stay focused on technique and how much time you have.
  2. Warm-up to your first attempt, which should be something you can do comfortably for 3 reps.
  3. Don’t make big weight jumps that cause you to miss and lower your total.
  4. Have fun!
