We have made it to Friday.  Its time to go to the bar!  Barbell that is (maybe the other bar afterwards).  Today we will work towards perfecting our Olympic clean.  If you are new to us and Olympic lifting this all be about technique and getting the positions right.  Veteran Crossfitters, you still will have to focus on technique and positions as you build up to a new 1 rep max clean.  Its all about perfect practice.  We have seen many of you get frustrated with these lifts.  Remember, there is a reason this is an Olympic sport.  Its tough as well as very technical.  Olympic level competitors spend many hours solely training for the clean and snatch.  Stay focused on getting the positions right, keep the weight light until you are proficient and listen to your coach.  If you start with those three pointers, you will begin to see much improvement in your lifts.  Now, get to the bar!

Workout of the Day (WOD) 11/15/13:

Cleans 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

Then,

  • 7 Power Cleans(185,135)(155,95)(95,55)
  • 5 Burpees
  • 6 Power Cleans
  • 10 Burpees
  • 5 Power Cleans
  • 15 Burpees
