Friday’s Wod

***Memorial Day Murph is this Saturday at 9am.  Honoring this hero is a great way to kick off the holiday weekend!  We will perform the wod and then get the big grill out for a BBQ.  We will have plenty of meat so bring your favorite side dish and beverage.  There will not be a community wod at 10 am.***

Friday Olympic lifting has become a favorite at CFBC.  There is so much to learn with these lifts.  Staying focused on perfecting the technique will set you up for big lifts in the future.  Don’t get impatient.  Rome wasn’t built in a day!

The second part of our wod we will be rowing 1000 meters for time.  As in the Olympic lifts,  having proper rowing technique is going to make the difference in how fast and efficient you are going to be.  Many of you saw and commented on the terrible rowing technique at a recent competition.  It makes a huge difference if you are doing it correctly.  Get it right and you will go faster!

Workout of the Day (WOD) 5/24/13:

  • New athletes will stay light and focus on learning the positions

Then,

  • 1000 Meter Row Time Trial
