Great job on the back squat Pr’s!  It is awesome to watch everyone getting stronger.  We had a few questions on the purpose of our new scaling program.  For one, we want to make a more concentrated effort to properly prepare our newest athletes and gradually introduce them to the intensity of CrossFit.  Interestingly enough, the second reason is to ramp up intensity for those athletes that many times choose a weight that is too heavy or turn a 5 minute burner into a 15 minute slug fest.  All of our workouts have a specific time domain that we want you to achieve.  If you decide to try and RX “Fran” but it takes you 18 minutes you have missed out completely on the intensity that the wod was programmed for.  In a well designed program we should be testing ourselves in multiple time domains.  The Tiered levels will ensure that throughout the week you hit those intensity and time duration marks.  If you have any questions please come to us.  We love talking CrossFit!
